Marcela Rocha
Chief Economist, Principal Claritas
Marcela Rocha is the Chief Economist at Principal Claritas. In 2007, she began her career in the financial market as an intern at ABN Amro Bank. In 2008, Marcela worked as Full Buy Side Economist at Fator Administração de Recursos, where she stayed until joining Principal Claritas in 2013, as an economist.
In 2020, Marcela became Chief Economist and is currently also a member of the Economics Council at Anbima. She holds a Master’s in economics from INSPER and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Mackenzie.
Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer, Matthew R. Byer, joined Spectrum in 2007 and held the position of Senior Vice President with responsibilities for various areas of business and product development, client relations, and asset management, until his appointment as COO on January 1, 2010.
Prior to joining Spectrum, Matthew was a Vice President and Director, Investment Banking at A.G. Edwards where he served as a senior member of the Financial Services Group for eight years. Matthew began his career in 1991 as an attorney with Armstrong Teasdale LLP where his practice included representing issuers and underwriters of preferred securities. Matthew holds a BS (Mathematics) and JD from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and is a Member of the Missouri and Illinois bar.
Manu Krishnan, CFA
Portfolio Manager, Spectrum Asset Management
Senior Vice President, Portfolio Manager, Manu Krishnan is a senior member of the Portfolio Management team. He joined Spectrum in 2004 and joined the Portfolio Management team in January of 2009 specializing in the $1,000 par preferred market.
Prior to joining Spectrum, Manu worked as a software development engineer with the MathWorks, Inc. for three years developing algorithms for control and embedded systems. He holds an MBA (Finance) from Cornell University, a MS (Mechanical Engineering) from the University of Delaware, a BS (Mechanical Engineering) from the College of Engineering, Osmania University India. Manu also studied Computer Science in the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences at Harvard University. He earned the right to use the Certified Investment Management Analyst designation.
